1/29/2006Swann's Way
I am currently immersed in the acclaimed Marcel Proust's "Swann's Way." I must admit it took me a while to adjust to his writing style but, eventually, even the sentences that ramble on for half a page begin to make sense. The novel seems as though it were a poem before mutating into prose... tremendous imagery. Shocking metaphors. Give it a try.

2 things:
1) Shastadaisy123 has once again increased the value of AdoptABeard.com with her new poem, "Infinity, Drug Induced". I feel like a proud curator... ok, not really. 2) For those of you who actually read through some of my poems on this site, I am sorry. Many of them are embarrassingly juvenile and... well... just plain embarrassing. I have taken the liberty to remove a few of my poems, and might sift out a few in the future as well. Hopefully this will help reduce the number of people who think I am a hack (which I am)... I am looking forward to publishing some of my new poems, which are slightly less brutal.
