    Thank you for dropping by! Before you go any further, note that this site has almost nothing to do with beards. Instead you will find abstract and creative poetry and art. Feel free to roam the site and critique the content, with or without profuse verbal exclamations. And keep in mind that none of the content is meant to be offensive unless you converse with sandwiches, etc.

It's kind of a big deal

Did I mention I am now a Lord of Sealand? Well, I am.

What can I say, I feel very honoured--even though I had to pay for the title.

You'd think I were a bear from the way I talk

The great synapse we colloquially refer to as "Christmas break" here in Canada lies between this and my last post.

I had a tremendously good break full of sleep, waking relaxation, and digestion. Hopefully you did as well. I have no profound Adopt A Beard-related news to share; my days have been passing pleasantly like the slow, sure trickle of a creek remembered for its deafening silence. Thoughts are loud, and my words come as if from behind a curtain of ice.

In other words, I am content to say and do nothing until Spring returns and the rest of the earth awakens. I, too, hibernate.

Fortunately not all creatures do; some are productive, and one even managed to write a compelling anonymous poem for others to read. Golden.

And now, for no particular reason, I'd like to share a random poem I found today. It is by a Japanese poet, Yosa Buson. Here it is:

At the over-matured sushi,
The Master
Is full of regret.
Pressing Sushi;
After a while,
A lonely feeling
A whale!
Down it goes, and more and more
up goes its tail!
