| Thank you for dropping by! Before you go any further, note that this site has almost nothing to do with beards. Instead you will find abstract and creative poetry and art. Feel free to roam the site and critique the content, with or without profuse verbal exclamations. And keep in mind that none of the content is meant to be offensive unless you converse with sandwiches, etc.
9/27/2005New Poem
For lack of creativity (appalling, I know) I have created this post with the bland title "New Poem." However, it seems to get the point across. See the new poem by Sophie here:

9/16/2005winter stalks this land
it is getting colder, and that's a fact. hurray for little snow angels made in haste, hot drinks, bundled clothing and those itchy sweaters your grandma made for you because she cares.
let's all give an adopt a beard "howdy" to newcomer Sophie Jones. dearest Sophie, bless her heart, has contributed 2 poems to the site. note the occasional line contains an extra dose of pizazz. My Ears Are Hurting Endless Poem (It Seems) i would also like to add to the collection with a poem of my own, The Saskatchewan Matador. it encorporates an awkward rhyme scheme inspired by Lord Alfred Tennyson (who is not awkward). his poem, which you might well have heard of and/or studied, is "the lady of shalott."

9/13/2005New material, Old Friends
Welcome, as always, to Adopt A Beard. I would like to thank Daniel North and Paul Ginz, two great poets and friends from afar. While I was away, they each sent me a poem, which you can now read here:
The Umbra Nihili - by Daniel North Trauma - by Paul Ginz If you new to this site, I would love to hear from you (or publish your poetry)! All it takes is a quick email. New friends are always welcome. Farewell for now, Hamnet.

9/07/2005Home, Sweet Home
After a long and rewarding trek through Europe, I have finally come to rest back in Saskatoon. There are many stories and pictures from the trip, but this is not the place for that. If you want to see the old travel blog, please go here.
Now that I am back, hopefully I can post all the wonderful poems which were sent my way during my absence. I look forward to even more to come as the year progresses!
