Is it wrong to feel like giving up?

I have for you a poem, a Paul Ginz poem, entitled "Waste of Potential." Check it out and see what gives.

Surviving September

So, this month is and already has shaped up to be a real hum-dinger of a month-- ripe with many activities, rotten with others. I should reserve my final judgment until October, but I'd say that overall the harvest will be a good one.

Some recently-blossomed fruits here on Adopt A Beard include:

junkpt5 (Anonymous)
Vivaldi and Untitled (or "More from English notebook") by Jake Aderholdt.

Thank you for your contributions as always, and may your month be merry and filled with many other positive "m" words. Possibly mangos or marbles.

Adopt A Beard.com Featured on Jesus List of Poetry

I almost forgot to mention... Deb from the Jesus List of Poetry, a refreshing poetry blog, has featured AAB. Mind you, it appeared a long time ago, but I just got to it now... so I suppose the kind criticism I received ("sporadic updates") was well-deserved! (Read the Review)

Thanks to Deb and the gang for painting me with such a gentle brush! As a side note, their site has now been added to the Linkage page. Enjoy!

A Return

Well hello there! I have returned from summer "holidays" and am now gung-ho and rearing to go. Big things are coming my way and yours, let me tell you...

First of all, I must right a few wrongs of mine and post material that has been accumulating in my inbox for the last few months. Apologies to the poets/artists, but I promise to post your work and post I did! Here are some new pretty things to look at:

Ode to track 8 by Marilee Mitchell
The Serviceman by Paul Ginz
A small sketchbook drawing by Ronald D. Isom

I suppose that is enough to whet your appetites for now, but in a little while I'd keep your eyes peeled for 1) a book release, and 2) a new competition! Take care, my friends.
