Elements Of Sound

Elements of sound,
Drift through the calm air,
Tinged with whispers and the echoes of laughter,
As he dances and plays,
Barefoot on the ground.

Even the grass is listening,
The trees lie silent for a moment,
As this man unknown plays natures song,
And taps his foot,
Oh if only I was an inch closer,
Then I may dance with him.

Do you want anymore?
Now I am the fool,
I want to throw my money off the rooftops,
And run away with him,
To the land where the ancient oaks hold hands and chatter,
With the falling leaves.

But he is fading and I am moving,
I drag myself away from the sweet music,
The rhythm is inside my heart,
A bloody cage to hold all manner of beauty forever,
And he is gone,
And I hear no more.

If only you were here now,
As I dance alone in your name.

Tomorrow will come…
