Florid

Sun rises over mourning
The moon sets at dawn
They search for the shimmer
But it's already gone

Awaken with a breadth
From the chill in the air
But it's all so beautiful
I can't help but stare

She appreciates the gestures
All the words unspoken
She welcomes the morning light
For her eyes have been forced open.
