Words

late at night or early morning
dewy bright ideas
fornicating shamelessly
in the back of my mind
surprise
embryos escape
mutate
into a jumble of brilliant flashes
first one struggles to supersede the last
fading fast stumbling in their haste
tripping
    one
        upon
            the other
juxtaposing adjectives     nouns     verbs
        words
words
    words

forming a chorus of sorts
fine tuned into a mind symphony
black and white keys dancing through the murky air

I listen and pick ~ no ~ choose a flash or two
maybe more
creating a thought pattern ~ splattering
mosaic style words in abstract pattern

alive ~ demanding to be heard
will anyone understand the full intent
does it matter just take a word
twist it more and more

possessed by madness
    regressed in sadness
blessed with or without finesse
weary spent addiction to the mind
words
    need to be heard
sliding effortlessly through dissected veins
squeezing blood black and blue
transfused by the bottle of hope
dripping through the needle of a muse

believing in strength wooden indian tall
painted on smile and head full of splinters
fragmented losers and winners
life completed in assembly line fashion
flashing ~ slashing
intricately lashing
beautiful flashing words
